Marketing Manager

We run a careers community of 11,000+ students, graduates and young professionals, primarily from Black heritage and low-income backgrounds, and partner with brands like Red Bull, Warner Bros. Discovery, Octopus Energy and Tesco to help them attract and hire the diverse early career talent their traditional channels miss.
We also partner with Stormzy and Adidas on #Merky FC Football Careers, a programme supporting young Black professionals into employment across the football industry.

👀 The Role
This role is core to what we do at JABARI. Ultimately you'll be helping make sure our members are inspired, informed and ready to land the role of their dreams.
Our newsletters, WhatsApp campaigns, events, content and storytelling are what employers pay for and what our members rely on. This role owns all of it.
You'll be responsible for turning employer opportunities into compelling campaigns that reach the right people at the right time, across every channel we have. You'll help manage events, build and segment our talent pools, create content that actually performs, and track what's working so we keep getting better. You'll have real ownership, a genuine impact on hiring outcomes, and the freedom to think creatively about how we do things better.
The role involves regular travel to events and partner offices, mostly in London.
What You'll Be Getting Up To
📩 Campaigns and distribution
- Own the weekly newsletter from idea to send, writing, segmenting, and optimising
- Write and send WhatsApp and SMS campaigns to relevant community segments
- Promote partner roles and events across all channels
- Segment talent pools so the right opportunities reach the right members consistently
- Coordinate with our marketing support team member to ensure partner roles and opportunities are uploaded and promoted accurately and on time
🎪 Events
- Manage end-to-end promotion and delivery for in-person and virtual employer events
- Handle member selection, pre-event communications, and post-event impact reports
- Attend and help facilitate events in person and online
🎬 Content and social
- Create short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram etc . ncluding candidate day in the life videos, job promotion and behind-the-scenes office content
- Manage our social media pages day to day
- Run paid social campaigns to grow the community and promote priority opportunities
📈 Partner hiring outcomes
- Track applications, clicks, and engagement for priority campaigns
- Share regular insight on what's converting and what needs improving
- Work closely with the partnerships team to ensure partners are getting enough high-quality applications to hit their hiring goals, this is the metric that matters most
- Manage relationships with some of our employer partners to help ensure they get the most out of their partnership with us
🌱 Community and growth
- Build relationships with other communities and university societies for cross-promotion
- Manage light website updates for events and opportunities

- You've got 2+ years experience in marketing, content, campaigns, employer branding, or similar
- You enjoy being both in front and behind the camera to create video content
